The Amadeus Company began and still endures because of who we are: A tight-knit group of actors, directors, writers and designers looking for new ways to continually craft what we like to call our own "Independent Film/Theater" movement. We are passionately devoted the idea of bringing to the stage and screen great stories told with style, verve, fun and imagination. And in terms of Los Angeles being a "theater town" or a "film town", we don't think it has to be one way or the other. It can be both. Still, unfortunately, like most independent theatre/film movements anywhere, we have no money -- of our own, that is. (Cynics amongst you may quibble that this actually makes us a "Dependent" movement, but moving on...) Only through the breathtaking generosity of various individuals and enlightened companies who have put their money where our mouths are, have we been able to continually offer Los Angeles the kind of visceral, visually compelling and exciting rock-n-roll style of production that we've become known for.
