"Global Warming Isn't Cool.  Stopping it is."

Bradley and Jane have joined a campaign to raise awareness of the effects of global warming.  The website ClimateStar.org has been launched by the Union of Concerned Scientists and the Earth Communications Office to highlight global warming and encourage action against its progression.

From the ClimateStar.org website:

Mark Twain might as well have been talking about global warming when he famously remarked, "Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody ever does anything about it." For years we have heard so much about the causes of climate change, that we've missed the fact that there are simple, practical solutions that can slow this growing problem. Technologies exist today that can cut emissions of heat-trapping gases and make a real difference in the health of our planet. And these solutions will be good for our economy, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, and enhance our energy security.

Bradley and Jane appear in a number of advertisements for the campaign.

Family Planning

We all want our children to have the best of all possible worlds, but global warming is threatening their future. Fortunately, making a difference is as easy as purchasing energy efficient products and driving fuel efficient cars like hybrids. If only all parenting decisions were this easy. Global warming isn’t cool. Stopping it is.

Big Changes

We all want our children to have the best of all possible worlds, but global warming is threatening their future. Fortunately, making a difference is as easy as purchasing energy efficient products and driving fuel efficient cars like hybrids. If only all parenting decisions were this easy. Global warming isn’t cool. Stopping it is.

Don't Be Fueled

The vehicle you drive has the single largest impact on global warming of any action you take. For each gallon of gas you burn, 20 pounds of heat-trapping CO2 is released into the atmosphere. When you buy your next car, make sure you get the one with the best fuel economy in its class. Global warming isn’t cool. Stopping it is.

Bedtime Stories

I’d like to be able to tell my children that our planet is strong and healthy. Thanks to global warming, however, they’re facing a world with more extreme weather and the loss of thousands of species and habitats. The way we use fuel and energy is causing global warming, but we can slow it down if we take action now. Global warming isn’t cool. Stopping it is.
